Break out the Barick

Happy Inaugural Day! If you were lucky enough to get your hands on Lazy Lady Farm’s “Barick Obama” cheese, Justin of the Wine Library suggests pairing it with a celebratory prosecco. For other Inaugural cheese picks, take a look back at our series. It’s also been brought to our attention, thanks to the LA Times, that today is National Cheese Lovers Day. Just in case you needed another reason to break out the cheese and bubbly.

Our regular “100 Great Cheeses” reviews will resume tomorrow, with a nod towards the upcoming Super Bowl. Cheers!

*Wine Library carries Barick if you’re in the greater NYC area; here in the DC Metro, Cheesetique has it at the wine and cheese bar and for sale by the pound.

My goodness! I had no idea it was National Cheese Lovers Day yesterday…I am so embarrassed!

But I unintentionally celebrated with a nice, creamy chevre (for a snack) and shredded cheddar (over dinner)!

Imagine how much cheese you would have consumed if you had KNOWN about NCLD! You still did us proud, Jen. :)
