If you plan to commemorate the Royal wedding tomorrow by slicing into cheeses from across the pond, the British Cheese Board helpfully compiled some suggestions “fit for a king and queen.” They note that cheddar was invented in Britain, and suggest Wensleydale with cranberries as it hails from the birthplace of the future Princess Kate’s father, Yorkshire. No word on which cheeses the bride and groom will be feasting on themselves, but you can’t go wrong with this trio of British cheeses we’ve reviewed in the past here on Cheese and Champagne.
Personally, I hope to be nibbling on some Stichelton to wake me up for the early morning viewing. (Seriously, couldn’t they have been a little more accommodating of our time difference?)
