Happy Halloween! Got your Scream Cheese yet? A special-edition of Weybridge from Scholten Family Farm and Cellars at Jasper Hill, it’s the perfect mood-setting selection for your pre- or post-trick-or-treating noshing. (Locals, get it at Cheesetique Del Ray.)
Our Whistle Stop Tour is running behind due to Hurricane Sandy… (Your DC correspondent has just regained power — our thoughts remain with our cheese brethren in New York and elsewhere.) But fear not, we’re extending American Cheese Month for a few more days!)

What does SCREAM cheese taste like?
@Carrie — at the risk of sounding facetious, it tastes an awful lot like Weybridge.
It’s still the same bloomy, earthy, toasty goodness as its original white version. A little richer tasting than I recall, even (fall milk, I’m guessing).
